A location I had longed to visit, I could feel the excitement and anticipation build as we made our way further into the countryside. And then we arrived, stepping out of the car... hard to believe I was there.

This is wonderful.
Because I am an idiot I decided to photograph all the (visible from the street) Georgian doorways of Liverpool's Rodney Street with a 60 year-old Olympus FT camera. Turns out the half frame format of the camera goes well with the shape of the doors. #believeinfilm #shootfilmbenice

See also the UK Musk cultists happy-clapping his incitement of civil war.

These people have a seriously warped view of "sovereignty"...
There are British Trump fans on Twitter openly begging him to sue the BBC so we the tax payer can hand him a few million.
What a time to be alive.

Not ridden at all for the past few weeks for a variety of reasons so thought today would be a good day to recommence my Winter routine(ish) of starting the working week with a pre-work spin on the bike (no matter what the weather).

A properly dreich and mizzly day for it...

Love this piece by Kirsteen, who provided the beautiful words for our @dartmoorcollective.org Flow zine.
'Our feet and shins are baptised in the peaty water as we walk through a leat, then pass a clootie tree and proceed to a roundhouse to consider what we have lost and what we might save.'

I mean I'm laughing, but if you work in tech (and sometimes even if you don't), this is basically a template for EVERY SINGLE B2B MARKETING EMAIL right now...

Some words of mine have made it into @dpadartmoor.bsky.social's wonderful Wild Words compilation of Dartmoor writing which will be released as a digital magazine on the 28th of November.

Really pleased to be part of this great project connecting people with landscape through storytelling and words.

BC Camplight on excellent form in Exeter tonight - heartfelt and often brutally honest songs spanning every emotion, a super tight band and also very funny.

Fab support from British Birds too - new to me and completely unique but can hear elements of Stereolab, Super Furry Animals, Lovely Eggs etc

A good few weeks away, I know, but if you're in Exeter and need a respite from the festive retail madness then our son's band The Juliettes are headlining this new band showcase at Bomba down on the quay on the 23rd December.

Should be a fun night.

If someone doesn't record an album called "folk horror tinsel", I just might have to do it myself.
Or "folk horror tinsel" as I prefer to think of it.

It is obligatory when visiting a UK National Park to take a photo on a lone tree. This obligation is now fulfilled.
