It is damn near impossible to grow 100% of a balanced diet on your own and unthinkable if you don’t have a lick of experience. the ability to grow/harvest enough food to feed a small family (plus livestock, necessary) is incredibly hard without a shitload of land, perfect weather & the ability to rotate crops. there is no "prepping" on this level available to most people.

We’re seeing tuberculosis, pneumonia, RSV and all kinds of other bugs in rates far higher than normal. Deaths are up.

So, this isn’t exactly true. I was working for Disability Rights Pennsylvania, part of the protection and advocacy network, and there’s a whole other side to the story people don’t often tell because it’s very ugly. In the early days of Covid, they were floating around Universal DNRs
The early days of Covid showed us that if the government wanted - they could take care of everyone. They could provide a universal basic income, accommodate the needs of disabled people who had been pleading for remote healthcare & other services for years. They could keep us fed, safe and housed
