I finally got confirmation that ICE agents have been getting paid this whole shutdown. Only people who’ve had guaranteed pay this whole time are the lawmakers responsible for the shutdown and kidnappers

Please do me a favor and make sure many eyeballs see this story this Veterans Day.

These service members all served at least 15 - 17 years when they were forced to retire. Then the Trump administration took those benefits away solely because they’re transgender.
Breaking: New lawsuit filed against Trump admin.

“The military has made me who I am. It has made me a better person,” plaintiff Master Sgt. Logan Ireland told me. “All that I wish is for the military to see that and to honor that same sacrifice that I’ve given.” www.advocate.com/news/transge...

Nearly every day and almost exclusively when I have to interact with the world outside my home.

At home, I'm a person. I can understand and forgive my limitations. (Usually.)

It's through interacting with others that it becomes obvious that I'm seen as inconvenient, awkward to be around, a burden.
Do others struggle with guilt & inadequacy because of disability? Like I can't go that hard, I can't do that thing, what's that say about my worth. I know all that is nonsense internalized ableism but I can't be the only one who deals with it.

We're nearly a decade deep into politics driven by "vote-against".

We The People want something to vote FOR.

"Do you want (X) to win?" is not a policy position, it's a confession that the only alternative you're offering is "anti-(x) vibes".

Whatever you need to do today/tonight, I believe in you. No matter how big or small it may be. I hope the week brings joy, relief, laughter, success, coziness. You got this.

After almost three decades, Canada has lost its measles elimination status.

That means in 2025, this extremely contagious disease spread consistently in our country for the first time since 1998.

This was preventable, which makes it embarrassing -- in more ways than you might realize:
