Just wilful performative cruelty that is entirely out of step with the majority of British people.

How many Labour MPs got into politics in order to vote for stealing jewellery off of people seeking refuge from war and persecution?

And the young folk keep on dying. 😢

And still our govs and police stand by and change nothing. 😬

Lamely requesting dashcam footage. 😕
Truly one of the saddest stories I’ve read this year. And entirely preventable. Only allowed to happen because our gov is too weak to limit drivers freedoms.

Current gov explicitly refused to implement graduated licences which would have prevented this tragedy.

Trigger warning.

“In crashes, SUVs are more likely to strike vital organs in the core of adults’ bodies & heads of children. Hitting pedestrians above their center of gravity means they’re more likely to be knocked forward & down and then be driven over.”

Plus more likely to hit in the 1st place.

Wow! Free bikes trial schemes in 3 areas showed a 12x returning investment.
Reduced expected cases of disease by 16% and deaths by 6%.
What a win. We should be rolling these schemes to all deprived neighbourhoods.

how many pedestrians have been killed by uber drivers? is the statistic even counted?
The death of Kit Kat, a bodega cat run over by a Waymo self-driving taxi, has sparked outrage and debate in San Francisco, with some bemoaning the way robot taxis and automation have taken over the city.
Waymo Was Thriving in San Francisco. Then One of Its Driverless Cars Killed a Cat.
The self-driving taxis have become ubiquitous in the city, but an uproar ensued when one ran over a beloved feline.

Won't someone please think of the people paying £600 per night for a suite?

hey here's an idea to fix the environment:

Mass transit networks are more energy efficient. Encourage their use by offering a tax break to adults who decide not to get a car

I think that we, as a society, should take away licenses MUCH more often than we do. It’s a very mild punishment, in the grand scheme of things.

The UK tech minister has said a VPN ban is on the table.
