I think the President of the US responding to a question about the murder of a journalist with "A lot of people didn't like that gentleman" is probably pretty bad.

Waymos are so weird. So very weird. But I can listen to the new Nature Trail to Hell episode out loud and it doesn't smell like weed, so there are some bonuses.

Thing that rattles around in my head:

Fifteen or so years go I attended a book event for two ghost hunters. One of them just casually said, "As we all know, ghosts can't move anything heavier than a five-pound bag of flour."

I think about this ALL. THE. TIME.

👋 I'm Danielle, and I'm on the #econjobmarket this year!

Let's start with a student describing her segregated school:

"The school felt temporary. Built like a warehouse with aluminum siding . . . I had a slipshod education"

The twist? The student is white, and her school is private.

To recap: Jeffrey Epstein offered a NY Times reporter photos taken in Epstein's kitchen of Donald Trump and girls in bikinis *and* implored the NYT reporter to put this information in the public discourse in 2015

What did the NY Times editors know about this offer?

Doing my very best to put together a class on AI Ethics in Fiction and Film that cites 0 white guys. I can't entirely have a cast of women or bipoc creators due to the writers/directors of some necessary films, but I'm doing well on theory, fiction, & comics.

Our leading news organizations turned a cache of ultimately-innocuous emails into a scandal-coded weeklong series of front page stories leading into the 2016 election. If they do not cover the "emails from notorious pedophile implication the President" emails with the same fervor, it's curious!

feel like not nearly enough people are talking about this — apparently the democratic “yes” votes have effectively agreed to having the u.s. government write 6 republican senators $500k checks?
Look at this new outrage. To open govt, we're retroactively letting 8 Senators sue for $500K each over having had their J6 phone toll records looked at. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/10/u...

My book was one the books these kids saved. They are absolute heroes. But I'm so enraged that ignorant adults put them in this position.
Last month, eight books were removed from Georgia's statewide reading book for students. It was teenagers who brought this censorship to the spotlight–even though it's not their job to clean up grown-up messes.

Get to know 3 of those teens here.

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

I spent a good chunk of the past 11 months angry, angry at what this regime is doing to this country.

But im feeling levels of unbridled rage that I have not felt in years after watching the democrats negate their biggest win in years with a deal that gives the regime an even bigger victory
November 10, 2025 at 3:16 AM
Yeah, no more money goes from me to the Democrats. Y'all deserve whatever losses you get after this. Even you, @warnock.senate.gov and @ossoff.senate.gov . Get rid of @schumer.senate.gov and maybe, maybe you can win a few of us back.

What are @democrats.senate.gov even thinking? I hope these promises to cave are all from a mistaken GOP leak. You had a great election this week. Throwing away all that good will is beyond foolish. @schumer.senate.gov leadership remains beyond suspect.
