This is so true. You get 2 blocks of a main drive in Tokyo (38 million people!) and it's totally peaceful. I love it. I hate that America is built around car culture and can't even imagine other ways to be.
I don't post enough about the other central pillar of my politics, aside from anti fascism: being anti car

You could actually structure your moral code around the idea that law enforcement doesn't exist to execute people. You don't have to create perfect victim narratives, you can just refuse to accept that the state gets to kill people.
