The Routledge Handbook of Philosophy of Games

Reading is the core practice of humanities research. But I have never had a professional or academic role that factors reading time into workload. We're meant to do it in 'spare time'. Now we're being told to let machines do it for us.
The thing that makes my research work is I read whole books, and sometimes everything a great thinker has written. It's not possible to think, synthesise, and write well in long form (or, indeed, at all) without reading deeply and well.
You basically cannot.

Great article from @aftermath.site

Personally, AI in some games makes it hard for me to enjoy any game. It soils the entire industry because it undermines it as an art form.

I think most of who have worked in writing or entertainment know that piracy is a fact of life, and has been for a long time now.

But there’s a difference between a broke student downloading a PDF of your book, and a multibillion dollar company stealing your work for its own bullshit purposes.
Search the LibGen database here, and peer inside a pirated library of millions of books and research papers used by Meta and others:

This is beyond belief. Blatant totalitarism in display
Right after Trump said he'd stop federal funding, "for any College, School, or University that allows illegal protests. Agitators will be imprisoned/or permanently sent back to the country from which they came. American students will be permanently expelled or, depending on on the crime, arrested."
“New York Police Department officers with helmets and zipties entered Barnard’s campus and began detaining protesters…Protesters began the sit-in around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, calling for the reinstatement of three Barnard students reportedly expelled.”
