statstically speaking if you get me/cfs from long covid your doctor is not going to help, and yr actual medical advice will come from ppl like me who've spent the last 5 years reading medical papers.

you do not want someone who can no longer type the word "statidtically" to be your replacement doc.
everyone cis and trans deserves custom bioidentical HRT if they want it

it's funny when people occasionally try to use covid caution as a way to smear leftists because 99% of leftists' views on covid are indistinguishable from a center-right conservative's

surely sudoku puzzles and exercise can fix this

the reason i'm still too disabled to work is because places like the national institutes of health are wasting millions of dollars testing things like "Brain HQ, an interactive online brain training program" instead of real pharmaceutical interventions

sort of incredible to read a review that doesn't just made a vague nod at AI being bad, but actively reckons with the ways in which falling obsessively to AI usage actively obliterates the artistic intent and integrity of the work you've made.

ME/CFS is a real illness with an ICD-10 code and diagnoseable criteria. there is no blood test you can take to diagnose it, but it is a distinct illness that can be distinguished from other illnesses with careful observation www.cdc.gov/me-cfs/hcp/d...

OVER A MILLION USERS

DISCUSS SUICIDE WITH CHATGPT

EVERY *WEEK*

what the fuck are we DOING here
Panera’s moderately caffeinated lemonade was loosely associated with 2 deaths before it was taken off market.

This article alone has 4 examples of ChatGPT encouraging young people to commit suicide, and OpenAI’s own public stats estimate over a million users discuss suicide with ChatGPT each week.

FYI if you're in the UK it's not just "adult content" that you'd expect to be blocked for you, but a few other labels that you absolutely cannot trust a tech brained US company's automation to handle properly.

The "Sensitive" one, are you fucking kidding me?

Alberta is invoking a rarely-used provision to override Canada's Constitution, most recently used by Saskatchewan, also for anti-trans legislation
Alberta is expected to introduce anti-trans legislation (Bill 9, "Protecting Alberta's Children Statutes Amendment Act") with the notwithstanding clause today — overriding trans youth’s right to life and to equality.

This will be by far the deadliest anti-trans bill likely to become law in Canada.

*whispers* astrology contributes to the environment that lets this fester and grow
I see lots of apps and pop "science" socmed trends about this too: face shape/body shape/limb length etc can tell you something about the person. It's not cute or a curious game or quiz (as it's often presented), it's normalizing race science and eugenic thinking. It's all been debunked, stop it

the most frightening part about capitalism is it concentrates extreme power in the hands of the very few who can at a whim decide what history “means” or what “facts” are. at the drop of a hat communications & technology has, can, & will be turned against us in increasingly horrendous ways
