i am making an open world roguelike.
i have been imagining this world for years, and i want to make this game so people can go there and live many lives in it!
the game features whole-cloth, accessible design, deep mysteries, and a meticulous generated living world.

ok so whatever this is seems to have run its course and now my partition is stuck in read only, and the fixes i am familiar with are not working. this will stall all progress on my game until fixed, regrettably. can anyone help?
linux mint file copy issue - how do i safely resolve the situation? maybe this is nothing but i don't know the particulars and am afraid of corrupting the partition.
i copied a not very large file (13 gb) in linux mint via cut / paste. nothing visibly happened so i tried again. same result.

what Andrzej Żuławski films would folks recommend? 'On The Silver Globe' is one of my favorite movies and 'Possession' is astonishing. 'Szamanka' was not my favorite. i'm currently watching 'Diabeł', which is quite promising. 'The Third Part of the Night' looked interesting as well.

some 'bands have an "of returning" magical attribute which can roll on projectiles like arrows or stones sometimes. it's a neat idea- you can find some, then lay really costly enchantments on them because they last for longer.

once my childhood friend and i decided we were going to make a board game based on aliens. all i remember of the process is that we drew detailed pictures of furniture, and decided how many hit points each had. bed, 25 hit points. etc. we never finished making the game.

i'm playing frogcomposband, a zangband descendant, this morning. i'm interested in hybrid mage / crafting characters, so i'm exploring trying that via the standard mage class. death and daemon seem like a neat options because you get offensive spells and some utility and summons.

i am going to prototype multiple equipment systems, but the one i am most excited about is a nonhierarchical container model where the inventory is diegetic containers.

'cremator' follows a man who works in a crematorium in the months prior to and in the early part of the nazi invasion of Czechoslovakia. Herz' main character is self-mythologizing in the extreme, and weaves for himself a sort of auto-hypnotic cocoon, a glass through which to view the world.
