Governor Ferguson's support of an income tax that will reap revenue in 2029 should excite Washingtonians; his all-cuts budget should not.

Threatened funding reductions to healthcare and higher ed are why we need the Well Washington Fund (HB 2100) to pass.

Guest Rant: Governor Ferguson’s Proposed Budget Will Hurt Everyday Washingtonians
When combined with the impact of President Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” HR 1, the no-revenue budget that Governor Bob Ferguson proposed today will hurt everyday people in Washington State. But austeri...

A new systematic review & meta-analysis of 2M+ people estimates a ~36% pooled prevalence of reported long COVID after infection.

claiming you "don't know anyone" who's had long COVID is statistically implausible - unless you only know like <3-4 people

More Than One-Third of Individuals With COVID-19 Experience Long COVID
Long COVID remains globally prevalent following COVID-19 infection, with a significant burden of symptoms lasting 1 to 2 years postinfection.

I guess I find it interesting that suggesting there is a line between how the Democrats approach immigration and the full scale Gestapo nature of ICE today is absolutely outrageous Russian disinformation, when facts like this exist.

One of my most Pynchonian paranoid and intrusive thoughts is that Noam Chomsky functions as limited hangout. He's given the media space to reveal true things about US imperial policy, but inevitably herds and scolds his audience back toward the political establishment.
Well, there's a photo I never expected to see in my life. Noam Chomsky palling around with Steve Bannon.

The 25th anniversary of Bush v Gore is today. The conspiracy mongering & corruption of the GOP has been brewing for a long time.

Roberts, Barrett and Kavanaugh were all on Bush's legal team, where they pushed unfounded legal theories. SC justices were already enmeshed in voter fraud myths.
Here's Sandra Day O'Connor endorsing News Max levels of voter fraud conspiracies in the 2000 election.

I'm glad Saka voted against the SPOG contract. Too bad he also voted for:
-his own resolution declaring "Defund is Dead"
-defunded bus service to pay for a transit cop czar
-voted for the 23% SPD pay bump last year
-relegalizing blast balls and other crowd control weapons

People need to realize that in the historical long view, the Democratic Party will be viewed as a political entity that enabled, funded, and supported a genocide. Self-identified progressives need to understand this when they engage with the Dems. They must let this shape their action and urgency.
Wow: Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention (named for Holocaust survivor Raphael Lemkin, who coined term "genocide") calls Clinton's remarks "genocide denial."

"Young people in the US are not stupid or gullible. They simply reject genocide – something the Secretary might consider doing as well."

Saka saw the election results and is doing damage control for his re-election campaign. I do wonder if this is a planned, safe dissent, similar to the way the Dems do their rotating villain schtick in the Senate, or if this will truly surprise the other CMs.

If supply is supposed to lower prices, why are rents rising with empty units?

Because in a financialized housing market, homes and rent rolls are used as collateral, so vacancy can pay and prices stay high. That’s why adding supply alone doesn’t drop prices.
