Five corporations control 90% of the US media market.

Airlines merged from 12 major carriers in 1980 to 4 today.

Four giants control 80% of meat processing.

A handful of companies control the pharmaceutical industry.

The evidence of corporate concentration is everywhere.

🚨 I will never look away. Neither should you. This is what ICE is doing. They are not police, they are untrained, morally bankrupt monsters. This cannot go on. We need to organize for these children. They may have weapons and power, but we see this. This is fuel. 1/2

Hey Megyn Kelly,

14-year-old Eloise would like a word:

“If my voice makes you uncomfortable, good…
because the minute adults start defending predators by defending the age of a child, you’re not protecting the truth, you’re protecting the predator.”

Sound up! 🔥🔊

In normal times, it would be a major scandal for the President to direct his AG to criminally investigate his political opponents to deflect from his own involvement in a major scandal — and for the AG to immediately announce she is doing it. The Epstein scandal and cover up just got even bigger.

Rather than let them escape, conservative policymakers are trying to trap women in marriage and motherhood. Because caregiving responsibilities make it harder for women to get themselves out.
"In 2025, 40% of women aged 15 to 44 say they would move abroad permanently if they had the opportunity. The current figure is four times higher than the 10% who shared this desire in 2014, when it was generally in line with other age and gender groups."
Record Numbers of Younger Women Want to Leave the U.S.
The percentage of younger women in the U.S. who express a desire to migrate permanently has surged in the past decade.

In an essay published by The Atlantic this week, he wrote, “The White House’s assault on the rule of law is so deeply disturbing to me that I feel compelled to speak out. Silence, for me, is now intolerable.”

Hey so “underage girls” are…children. The word you’re looking for is children. They’re not like, women-in-waiting or women-lite or whatever. They’re children. I think some of you are very uncomfortable with what that means for you but it is still true.

Because protecting predators was apparently more urgent than serving the people.

Here's a post about this from a few months back.

I'll usually say something like: "I do not compare candidates to other researchers, given the heterogeneity in cases and given that comparisons make tenure standards a moving target rather than a clear and clearable bar."
bsky.app/profile/jess...
I've noticed a trend in requests for tenure reviews, asking letter writers to compare candidates to other "top" scholars at the same career stage. Can we please not do this?!?

Making tenure a moving and competitive target risks ratcheting up increasingly untenable expectations for productivity.

It’s not enough to simply thank our veterans for their service.

Millions of them rely on SNAP and the ACA.

Many struggle with PTSD and worry about access to mental health services.

Today, on Veterans Day, let’s renew our commitment to keep fighting for those who fought for us.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

No it’s important to listen to this. Because then you understand that many of them will do ANYTHING to keep power. Remember Musk got involved in the 2024 election after saying to Tucker “if she wins” I am definitely going to prison.

So we need to move knowing that nothing is off the table for them.
