For Berkeley folks: I’m not sure how far this will reach, but I’m desperate and trying everything. While I was in Japan, my beloved cat Batman snuck out on the cat sitter and hasn’t been seen since Oct 16 (!!!). If anyone has seen him, please let me know! I’m sick with worry.

You can never predict what will get you angry online. I’ve had huge accounts on Twitter go after me and completely brushed it off but the angriest I’ve ever gotten was when I was arguing with a trombone guy and he brought in other trombone guys to back him up and I was like “f-fuck all of you!!”

So something that I think some people don’t understand about publishing your writing is that you are not selling your novel to a publisher
You are granting permission for the publisher to print copies of your novel for sale and you get a cut of those sales
