A male rock ptarmigan (Lagopus muta) in winter plumage.

Ptarmigan is from Gaelic 'tarmachan' meaning "croaker". The p- was added when people mistakenly assumed it was a Greek word.

A bird forever warning people: "A werewolf!" (just in case of werewolves).

I can understand asking for nuance in these discussions, but deliberately muddying the water by bringing up automation tools that people understand are not generative AI and asking for a middle ground is disingenuous. The nuanced position is that people are roundly rejecting the tech, respect that.
"Surely there's a middle ground here?" The CEO of Helldivers 2 studio Arrowhead says people "jump to extreme takes" when debating generative AI, and that there needs to be more nuance in the discussion.

Carved in Stone is officially out!

In this comprehensive setting guide you'll be able to see, touch, taste, hear and smell your way through everything that modern-day scholars currently know of the enigmatic culture of the Picts, from the perspective of someone living in the late 7th Century.

"Don't think about it", she says to herself as she takes a long swig of the alcohol, burning her throat. "Maybe the account made it harder for her." "Maybe it made it easier", a traitorous refined voice says in this deep dark of night, alone between missions. Her own voice... mostly.

Oh once child, grown, roaming again your world. Name lost, replaced by Fae, with thorn riddled, vine choked, word. What creature took your place in your parents arms so many years ago. Who cursed you so that you have to flee adventure to be free.

Both critics and players have said some incredibly nice things about Strange Antiquities. We've put together some of our favourite quotes for a short accolades trailer. If you haven’t picked up the game yet, hopefully this will help stir your curiosity.

You gently run your hand through the rack. You can feel it—pure cotton, rich wool, Irish linen. The plump buttonholes are handsewn; the buttons attached with a firm shank. You flip the price tag over. It's affordable

You buy the jacket and go home, which is only 15 mins away. Your apt is $600/month
