The biggest thing i've learned as an artist who sells prints and merch is don't make what people ask for. They won't buy it. Make what you, the artist, want to see printed on the support of ur choice.
I can't explain why but THAT'S what will sell. People who buy the most are the silent ones. 🫶

Remember, artists: when people say, “I’d buy a print of this,” they don’t mean it. That sentence itself is just a weird compliment that rarely converts to an actual print sale. It’s like if someone ate a very good hot dog and then said, “I could eat 10,000 of these right now.”

I hate to resort to this but these are the times we live in. My wife was laid off from her job in May of last year. I lost my job in 20 due to pandemic. We've been surviving by siphoning off our retirement savings, but we're both pushing 50 and the lack of decent insurance is literally killing us.

Alistair was sent back. Lmao. The Zev one was the same file that got denied yesterday. I'm cracking up here. :'D

SO. It returned again. When I called last Thursday, they told me somebody would contatct me. Nobody has. So I wrote an email 'oh no, support can't handle this! you have to talk to the graphic designer about it. but anyways here's FAQ.'

The golden foil prints are givin me so much sht this time around I might think twice before doing them again.... Here I was so happy to finally have them, but at this point I feel like I'm spending the same amount of time bickering with the printshop as the time I'd spend drawing the illustrations..
