I'm Las, a freelance artist jumping between storytelling illustrations and comics. I have a thing for wolves, wings, swords and all things emotional. 💕

A tarot illustration inspired by the Knight of Swords, featuring Ulric Cousland (my own customized warrior human noble from Dragon Age Origins) wearing a black armor with black fur. He's facing out of the canvas, determined expression on his face, which is bleeding. (Technically, it's a burn wound from a crazed mage in a Circle, but you know how it is with aesthetics.) He's holding the Summer Sword (originally a greatsword of Loghain's most loyal lieutenant and a sword he punished Loghain with, I just added the little thorns/teeth on the blade, bc again. *Aesthetics*). In his damaged ear, he's wearing an earring Zevran gave him. 'It's the one thing that will make this side of me handsome,' he said upon receiving it. He's surrounded by a pack of dark wolves. All of the characters have yellow/golden eyes, matching the leaves of the birches in the background. series of illustration featuring two original characters Rafe and Zacharius (who belongs to @lesoldatmort ) set into the world of Thedas (Dragon Age), inspired by Emerald Graves map and the Temple of Mythal. The whole piece is a view from inside of some overgrown ruins, through a huge door in the shape of pointed arch. In the centre of it there are the characters talking about something. Rafe, an adventurer type, is standing on a rock looking down at Zach standing on the ground (like a normal person) while probably describing something wild to him. Zach is most probably offering some of his own input, but he's definitely not as excited about it as Rafe. Amused more like. Around them there are broken statues, lots of rocks, fern, plants, behind them there's a view of even more ruins and forest in the background. The second one is situated in a rain scene near similar ruins, The bois are sitting in the lower left corner of the piece, Zach, who is dry, is casting a barrier around them to hold the water off. Rafe, completely drenched is trying to squeeze more water out of his hair. They're looking at each other playfully. The ruins are overgrown and water is pooling around them. Everything is surrounded by a rather thick fog. The last one is set near a pond. Rafe's exploring, Zach's chilling in the background. a digital illustration of two gauntlets/hands, a dark one with golden details and white/lighter one, both inspired by renaissance 15th/16th century armor. their fingers are slightly reaching out for each other. both hands are wrapped in a red ribbon that says 'No Love, however brief, is wasted.' In between there are white periwinkles as a symbol for fond memories

Give yourself something to look forward to next year. Something less substantial than a resolution which can carry regret if you can't stick to it. Think of a book you want to read, a genre of music you'd like to learn more about, a curiosity to chase no matter how trivial. Keep your spark lit.

It's alright to take breaks when working on your piece. I spent half the evening on the last comic page and when I turned my pc off I felt like it wasn't really any good, that it was bland, boring and colourless.
Opened this morning: 'This is good, holy shit. I don't remember this being good.'

Finally got around to make some sort of short summary/simple charsheet for him! 💕

a character sheet for the Grey Warden Ulric Cousland - my player character from Dragon Age Origins The sheet shows off his custom Black Wolf armor and the semi-casual warden uniform outfit based on the ones from DAI. There's his prefered weapon - the Summer Sword greatsword on the left - when compared to the canon one I just added the spikes for good measure in the right upper corner there's his portrait to show off his features, yellow eyes, unruly dark hair and of course the massive scar over right half of his face he got from a crazed mage in the tower; there's a braid around his right ear, held by a golden bead from his real mother; in his right ear Zevran's earring the sketch in the lower right corner to show his usual easy smile when chilling

a comic featuring Morrigan, Warden Ulric Cousland and Alistair in a snowy scenery Alistair and Morrigan are bickering, until Alistair asks the Warden why it's just the three of them and where's Zevran? Ulric looks at Alistair offendedly 'Do you seriously consider me careless enough not to bring a fourth person?' and then raises his arm, opening his cloak to show Zevran Arainai trembling under it, clinging to Ulric for warmth, Ulric's wearing a very fond expression, Alistair and Morrigan are totally unamused. As they should be.

The reason it is a big deal for me - I painted it in Procreate mostly with a new flat brush I made as an experiment and even photobashed some rocks in. I still added lots of post effects in PS later but still...this is a big deal for me-
