This is the message. You may like Pritzker, you may not, but whomever the new leaders of a reformed democratic party are, they will carry this message. This is the way to win. My two cents.
Pritzker: The reckoning is here. And now that this culture of timidity is on display, these same do-nothing Democrats want to blame our losses on the defense of Black people, trans kids, and immigrants, instead of on their own lack of guts and gumption.

Here’s my list of how to win back working class voters:

Makes sure working class voters know which party butters their bread and which party closed their rural hospitals and turned their rural communities into ghost towns.

That’s it. That’s the plan

Imagine a Democrat saying that maybe the veterans they fired without cause “perhaps aren’t fit to have a job,” and then expecting that Democrat to face zero consequences in the press or at the ballot box. That even the thought of this is impossible should tell you where we are right now.

(WSJ) - The world economy could face a crash similar to the Great Depression of the 1930s unless the U.S. rows back on its plans to impose steep tariffs on imports, a senior official at the International Chamber of Commerce warned.

Just look at these paragraphs from the AP story.

Hegseth called Brown unqualified solely because he's Black. Then they fired him... and replaced him with a white guy so indisputably unqualified that he requires a Presidential waiver.

This is what "merit" means to them.

Trump pardoned the sentence of arguably the single biggest drug trafficker in American history on his second day in office!
Trump: "If you notice, every country that has the death penalty has no drug problem. They execute drug dealers. And when you think about it, it's very humane, because every drug dealer on average they say kills at least 500 people ... I don't know if our country is ready for it. I am ready for it."

Just a reminder that fascists, authoritarians, dictators of all stripes destroy archives— books, museums, databases, &c— because those things provide windows onto a plurality of other ways we might organize the world.

And so preserving, defending, and spreading that knowledge harms those regimes.

The requirement to be vaccinated to attend school is one of the most critical ways we ensure kids get their necessary vaccines.

This.
The fact that NBC can (accurately) call the Administrative Procedure Act “obscure” just shows how little Americans know about how their government works.

It literally is one of the most important laws ever enacted by Congress.
"Arbitrary and capricious"

A law that requires federal agencies to follow the correct process when making changes in policy is becoming a big hindrance to Trump and his shock and awe makeover of the government.

Seriously, their plan is to starve us into submission. Between tariffs, stating intent to default on national debt, draining Cali reservoirs and deporting farmworkers the writing's on the wall. Fiscal quarantine is a good plan that gets better the earlier it's implemented.
The alternative is economic collapse. Or at least that's what it looks like from where I'm sitting (central Ohio). What happens when there are thousands out of work, all at once? What happens when thousands lose their homes/housing? What happens to the businesses that depend on a working population?

Elon Musk is not a Federal employee or a political appointee. DOGE is not a real department. None of their activities are legal. This is a coup.
