It's important to understand that white supremacy enables white civilians to become de facto police in several scenarios, which then grants the right to extrajudicial killing. This has been officially and unofficially codified in the US from the start.

more generally, many cis ppl want trans ppl to "compromise" on virtually every trans-related issue. we have "gone too far" by simply existing & wanting to freely participate in society. to these ppl, "compromise" means us disappearing from society to some degree or other. fuck compromise.
What drives me nuts about the trans youth "debate" is how much of it consists of people who don't know anything demanding compromises that already exist.
