I've gotten to the point of my ministry career where I just want to say: if you don't believe God wants us to exist in the future, that God will bring the Church into the future, then get out of my way ⚓

Where the Red Fern Grows
Screw your favorite book, which was the first that upset you?

A Wrinkle in Time was mine. The possessed baby scared the everloving shit out of me. My babysitter had to call my mom to come home early because I was hysterical.

Worried about not being able to retire? Bear in mind that AI will transform the economy in previously unconsidered ways, like killer robots who will hunt down and murder destitute retirees.

I buried my former senior warden, age 80, on Saturday.

Last night, her husband of 59 years, aged 85, died somewhat unexpectedly, just 12 days after his wife.

This pastoral gig is not for the fainthearted.

Just did my duty.

The idea of using AI for any ministry task is a beyond-the-pale non-starter for me.
Y'all if you are Episcopalian please fill this out and say you are not at all interested in AI in church lol (if that's how you feel - it's for a task force created by General Convention re: AI)

Couple days with a cold kept me out of the gym, but I got back there today.

It's hard to be sad when you're lifting a barbell.

These escapes will become more necessary, not less, I fear.

I have not lost my mind over an Everton goal the way I did over Tarkowski's winner yesterday in a long time.

Imagine not liking football.
