The death of Flash basically killing an entire segment of independent and free game development overnight is one of those things that never really gets spoken about, which is a real shame because a lot of that first generation of Newgrounds talent did break into the animation and games industries.
I genuinely think kids in the mid-to-late aughts growing up on emulators (read: piracy) may genuinely have been far, far healthier for the future of the industry than all the kids growing up on stuff like Roblox being the norm.

Feels way too viscerally accurate, but way too fucking metal than he deserves, especially with that admin unironically co-opting so much 40k iconography.

While I've enjoyed the 6/10 show I consider Welcome to Derry to be, I also really wish characters had more depth. As it stands, Welcome to Derry is a decent popcorn horror romp for those dipping their toes into horror for the first time. IMO, it does also contain a lot absurd King-ism bullshit too.
Welcome to Derry would be a lot better if any of the characters were remotely interesting.

Your reminder about 'Vila do Nevoeiro', a visually impressive project made by Triskal in RPG Maker XP back in 2008.
One of the most impressive RPGMaker horror games was released in 2008 in Brazil (Before games like Ib and MadFather).
Vila do Nevoeiro (made in RPG maker XP by Triskal) became obscure mostly due to the language barrier (was portuguese only). It got an English version not long ago, thanks to fans.
