Bin mir, weniger als Politiker, denn als Historiker wirklich nicht sicher, ob allen gerade klar ist, was dieser Tage politisch ins Rutschen gerät, was die CDU gerade aufzugeben bereit ist. Mir bereitet das sehr große Sorgen.

If your research depends on databases that are/were funded by, or are hosted by organizations funded by USAID it’s a good idea to back it up somewhere else. The clock is ticking.
And foreign assistance websites that held data on foreign aid have been down for a week it appears; including aidscape.usaid.gov and www.foreignassistance.gov

With the situation in the US, we have to rely on ourselves: to grasp the first signals of something spreading in time, react quickly to them, have diagnostics ready (and reagents), develop drugs and vaccines….it won’t be easy
