Part of the reason for pushing horseshoe theory and narratives that the extreme left and the extreme right are equivalent is because right wingers are constantly Chicken Littleing about plots to subvert democracy, and they want you to dismiss the lefties when they talk about the actual plot.

Today’s advice on bad parenting for lifestyle goals: this AM, older kid and I had to stop for milk & they wanted a baguette. I was a smartass and said I think we blew through our baguette budget for the month. They called my bluff and made baguettes. They’re good. Jimmy John’s can go piss up a rope.
