I’ve posted this before but the light was perfect today- a little Victorian cat paw in a brick at the front of the old Norfolk & Norwich Hospital. As this is on the front-facing corner of the main gates, the bricklayer quite clearly put it there on purpose, at a height where children would spot it.

“The Train” (1920) by Claughton Pellew (1890-1966) who I'm sure all my friends in Cornwall know well. I didn't know him well at all so here's a few notes for anyone as thick as me: www.bookroomartpress.co.uk/.../claughto... and trunchhistory.weebly.com/artists.html

Grateful to Via Media for making space for my reflections on how the very ordinary stuff of parish life is undermined by the church's unwillingness to fully embrace LGBTQIA+ folks. Policies discussed in the abstract have a real impact on real people, which too often gets forgotten.

controversial take for an author at this moment but I think libgen and free access to information is good actually; I think people taking advantage of this for profit are the bad guys, but broad access to books around the world that aren’t published in all countries ….good actually

Transphobes spent decades like "my exclusive theology allows me to discriminate no matter what the law says" well uno reverse card, fools! Because my firmly held religious conviction is that to be trans and to transition is to follow God's call upon my life and is therefore my duty as a Christian.

the fact that TERFs do not understand transness as an acute manifestation of the divinity in all things - however you define that - is yet more proof, to me, that they are dry and dead and sick inside
