After foxing up WordPress last year, I've finally gotten the Ninefox Gambit webcomic back online. Echoes the Candle Arc *comic* although the *2D animation* (preproduction) is over at the sister site candlearc.com. Signed, still buried under orchestration homework, back to work!

Break time after morning's emotional support weaving & spinning, then brunch, then back to music production (indoors) now that it's no longer ass o' clock and BRAAAAAMS won't wake people.

I don't know that I'm going to get all that far into today's to-do list but that's not a reason not to try...

Doubling down on the one career (writing sf/f) my parents told me was a waste of time, as opposed to viola (support!) or medieval history (support!) or linguistics (support!).

Their reaction to the math B.A. was "But you hate math! What about history?" 😅
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

Today's emotional support spinning: IxChel's guanaco blend (Guanaco 60%, Mulga Silk 25%, Cashmere 12%, Angora Bunny 3%). Fountain pen for ~scale, not integral to the spinning process!

Finally here! I've been working on this article for a few months now.

Whatever podcast clips are ubiquitous, spreading truly vile misogyny everywhere online. But almost nothing is known about the show.

Well, I aim to change that. My investigation.

Aside: you would think that anyone who spent *30 seconds* getting old-school ELIZA to spew complete horrifying nonsense in some old-timey LISP or BASIC implementation would...have anticipated...this...development???

I have a fun hypothetical for the technical among us! (For certain values of fun, heh.) The scenario: You run a website. It doesn't have a mobile app: the only way to access it is in-browser. You are deeply, morally opposed to any form of invasive tracking or data-gathering on your users.

Ten years ago this was probably harder to wrassle for a civilian, but from here on out, NOVEL DRAFTING using private git repos because LITERALLY it handles version control and if it doesn't immediately need to be in e.g. .docx for client/agent/publisher/editor/school-facing reasons...

If anybody happens to have a spare $900, I will set this for free if you have it sent to me.

(Serious offer, actually, although I doubt anybody will take me up on it because, well, $900? In this economy? But it is GORGEOUS.)

Me: BUT IT DOESN'T WORK ANYMORE! YOU BROKE IT! YOU COMPLETELY RUINED IT!
