This may explain why there’s an aggressive response to people who merely post Kirk’s own words. It threatens the existence of the alternate Kirk - the motivational speaker that had been marketed to young kids and white Christian groups through selective quotation & clips.

I'd just like to point out how weird it is that places with hundreds or even thousands of reporters — the NYT, WaPo, CBS, NBC, AP, etc. — are all getting pummeled on every major story by the dozen computerboys at Wired. To fumble the bag this consistently is, at some point, cowardice and a choice.

It’s incomprehensible. Trump is inventing fake diplomacy from thin air, congratulating Iran like they just played in the Super Bowl, and in the middle of this ACTUALLY STARTED A WAR WITH IRAN, and our journalistic class thinks Biden getting tongue-tied in an answer is worse than Watergate
It's almost kind of quaint to bring up now, but not long after Biden's rough debate, he gave a press conference about foreign policy at the NATO summit that had detailed answers about foreign policy and the collaborators that form much of the press in this country gave not 2 shits about it.
I mean this is what it would sound like if you asked a fourth grader to imagine what a ceasefire would be like. and yet our entire political class is committed to never mentioning that the man is an imbecile
