I know it is a remarkable shift but we sometimes have to take a step back and remember Donald Trump’s message was literally “you will soon be part of America, no I am not joking”, this wasn’t him barfing on Justin Trudeau or something he literally wants their country

I appreciate what this is trying to do but I doubt that he peacefully leaves at the end of his term and I doubt that the rest of the governmental infrastructure can survive until we find out and I don't think "we have to survive 3.5 years and then we'll be fine" is correct politically or morally
