The Venn diagram of people who voted Brexit because ‘sovereignty’ and people who are now cheering on unelected billionaire Elon Musk’s interference in our politics is, I suspect, almost a perfect circle. Had a bit of an exasperated rant about this last night on @lbc.co.uk ….

It's been quite something to watch supposedly 'patriotic' British newspapers actively cheerleading on a foreign administration that is openly working against our interests.

Truth & Lies.

Mix Musk's interventions with Starmer's unpopularity, is it possible to separate the truth from the lies?

Sterling close to its highest value against the Euro since the Brexit referendum. Markets appear to be rewarding the prospect of long term British political stability. Not something you’ve been able to say for a while.

I should preface this by saying that, like all sane people, I'm not massively fussed either way, but imo the (marginal) majority are right - by my definition, a "Christmas movie" is a movie that you'd feel weird watching at any other time of the year. Die Hard is not that.
In answer to the big question of our times. A majority of Brits say that Die Hard is *NOT* a Christmas movie.
