Gaza saw its first major rainfall of the season today. Within minutes, people were submerged and tents holding families and children flooded. This is slow death. There is no justification for why proper shelter that can withstand the elements is not being allowed in.

What does recognition of a Palestinian state mean when the material reality remains the same? Palestinians in Gaza are still suffering through a genocide; Palestinians in the West Bank are still under siege. Recognition is an empty gesture in the face of actual change
