Excerpt from Dark Designs WIP (c) Charlie Sloane which reads- "Sensitized to the point that every fresh twist of those *fucking tails* threatened to push her back over the edge, she was a panting mess under him, distantly aware of a small rivulet of saliva dribbling out of the corner of her mouth as she desperately tried to regain her senses. Her heart hammered in her chest, sweat now beaded against her skin, soaked with perspiration until it was impossible to know where the slick of her arousal began and ended. And his, she couldn’t smell anything except him - the distant sulfur now completely obscured by a thick warmth of sex, sweat and ozone - a storm threatening to break. He had her - he could likely see it in that detached consideration - her half-drunk expression bleary eyed and struggling to muster the usual cunning gleam. If he asked then, she would have crawled to him and begged. Then it was gone, and a flicker of defiance rekindled in her soft brown eyes. Her trembling hands smoothed up his thighs, sliding from fur to feathers, gently plying each pinion with an appreciation that could only be considered reverent. She licked her lips and considered the whole of him balanced against her chest. “That mouthful?” She echoed his words when he had dragged her out of the car with a smile on her lips, “It will fit." She had no idea if it actually would, but gods was she willing to try."

It's a good book. Everyone who likes dark settings with horror elements, a twisty plot, and just enough 🌶 should slap it on their TBR (and maybe pre-order it to be cool) 😎
