you can win without billionaires supporting you

you can win without party leadership endorsing you

you can win unapologetically standing with every persecuted minority pundits say are too politically toxic to touch

we could do everything about this process differently if we wanted to
Can’t stop thinking about all the robber baron fucks that held secret meetings and spent MILLIONS AND MILLIONS in bribes and campaign investments and attack ads and media manipulation trying to tank Mamdani currently having the dawning realization that their money is completely and utterly useless.

Happy November 1st! Welcome to second October. Things are dying. Night comes sooner, hungrier than in the summer. The cold is here. Things haunt the woods. Snow can trap you, Donner Party your plans. Colds and flus awake, go hunting. Yeah, it’s still spooky season. It’s always spooky season.

i wonder if
haunted houses
ever dream
that they could have  been
more than a vessel
less than a haunting
something that grew and changed
shouted loud its shape
never had to whisper
never had to wither
never once sealed off its hallways
from footsteps
and instead shone brightest
in the toothless dark

When we were deciding on a cover for Dead Weight, there were a few colour options to choose from. My only input was that it had to be a colour that looked nice with Uggi’s fur, because I know my audience.

Someone on threads expressed bafflement that horror becomes popular during trying political times but it's pretty simple as far as i'm concerned: engaging in horror you control by walking away or fast forwarding or turning it off is a way of controlling fear versus a world that blasts you with it.
