The more Republican SF Dems are, the more they are celebrated for being common sense moderates.
To the point where they can do things like drug testing welfare, which was fringe-right in Florida and Alabama, but it just takes SF and Dems to sanitize is as centrism.

The thing is, this guy was not a maga personality. He was the product of San Francisco democrats. Championed by them, campaigned for them, speaking on the steps of city hall with them.
They don’t get to disown him now. Like DOGE, this is all stuff that was framed as centrism in liberal SF
