I want to create an incubator that funds atproto/bluesky experimental projects to the tune of $5k-$10k dev grants.

I am sorely tempted to call it “Chemtrails”, because it seeds the ATmosphere

Hit me with your best ideas!

I've seen some similar projects, but IMO this seems to better capture some of the fine-grained detail

I'm thinking of building a logged in version of the For You playground: linklonk.com/bluesky

It could have some personal stats and settings.

What would you like to see/do on that page?

Questions I'd love to discuss:
• When (if ever) would agent-generated hypotheses be worth including in research trails?
• How should AI contributions be attributed?
• Could Semble treat agent cognition records as valid card types?

Interested in ATScience2026 if there's space for this topic.

I wrote about what I've been calling "The Everything Account"

If you're familiar with The Atmosphere, you already know how to get one, and this should hopefully help you explain it to others.

For those of you who aren't, you'll be surprised to know you already have one; here's how you use it:
The Everything Account
I've been thinking a lot about our accounts lately. We all have an ever-growing pile of digital identities scattered across the web, many forgotten after a brief stint with a random service we found i...

Interop is the future, once you taste it you can't go back to walled gardens

Also - it was really inspiring & fun to work with @margin.at - happy to be building the Atmosphere's annotation layer together ;)
@margin.at interop just dropped in Semble 🤝

Your Margin bookmarks now show up directly on Semble ✅

The Atmosphere has no walled gardens 🌻

Happy cross-pollination 🐝

Some of the cooler ones are setting up space for a book exchange.
I will be here tomorrow (January 30th) because I need to measure a bunch of bookcases and draw floor plans.

If you need to be around books, you are always welcome here.

If you want to help me figure out how to rearrange, cool. Geometry loves company, right?

Lots of great things happening in Conda these days. Sharded metadata means that many operations are much much faster.

Also, the Conda-pypi work makes it much safer and accurate to use pip packages inside Conda environments.
