I want to create an incubator that funds atproto/bluesky experimental projects to the tune of $5k-$10k dev grants.

I am sorely tempted to call it “Chemtrails”, because it seeds the ATmosphere

Hit me with your best ideas!

This story came out in Verge last week that touches on some of it — and on how badly the institutions collapsed instead of defending themselves. The algorithmic titles all miss the point, but holding that aside, it at least explains some of what happened.

Those liars scammed and deluded thousands of people with their “censorship complex” hoax, feeding a victim complex and giving an online faction a boogeyman to rail against.

It’s hard to explain just how much bullshit they made up. The Wikipedia article on the Twitter Files doesn’t tell the story.
This article about how a subscriber lost his marriage because of HCR is incredibly hilarious but not for the intended reasons of the author

Armed ICE agents trapped US citizens in a restaurant and demanded their papers. Federal agents walked into East African restaurants in Cedar-Riverside, MN. They closed and blocked the doors. Then they demanded to see everyone’s papers. Every person present was a US citizen.
