Opinion

It is a tragic irony that murals meant to represent the contract between the government and its citizens—the Social Security that over 70 million Americans rely on today—would be sold to the highest bidder rather than preserved for posterity.

This is infuriating on so many levels, but partly because it ignores Congressional intent to penalize immigrants who followed the rules. And partly because these are people who have done nothing wrong beyond trying to negotiate a broken system.

If you are married to a US spouse, your temporary visa (usually for 3 months) will lapse before your case is processed. The government allowed you could stay in the US while awaiting case processing. Now the Trump admin is saying that is a visa overstay and arresting the spouses.

There have long been rumors that the Skull and Bones fraternity house in New Haven contains the skull of Apache leader Geronimo.

A researcher unearthed a letter in 2006 that seemed to corroborate that claim.

I found two more letters in Yale’s archives, along with more corroborating evidence.
While we’re on the topic:

Letters I found in Yale archives said Skull and Bones members took Native American remains from a grave in Oklahoma in 1918.

ah, but the Tech Billionaire Bros believe they're above/ beyond/ invulnerable to the most evident rules of a consumer-based economy.
Around 70% of the U.S. economy depends on consumer spending. As wealth concentrates in the richest 10%, the rest of America can’t afford to buy enough to keep the economy running. This is a huge problem — and even America’s most powerful CEOs are starting to sound the alarm.

Instead of using lowly-paid gig economy contractors to deliver groceries, they're replacing humans with robots, who, in turn, force humans off the pavement into road traffic.

In reality, any honest understanding of the financial bubble should point people to the conclusion that AI will not be here for very long at all
One of the reasons I've never bought into AI doomerism, is that to believe "it's here to stay, get used to it!" you have to buy into the idea that AI generated elements are so hardcoded or integral as to be permanent, when they really aren't.

You can simply remove it, and it's gone just like that.
