It takes 2/3 to expel a Member of Congress. A number that wouldn've required some of those insurrectionists to vote to expel themselves. Also there's been 2 whole elections since then and an expulsion does not preclue running again.
Dems in Congress's fun reward for not expelling all the disqualified insurrectionists who voted to overturn the 2020 election (as the United States Constitution requires) is that Republicans in Congress are now demanding their arrest.

I'm increasingly doubtful Fetterman runs again. One issue - what happens to his small donors? Tons of people gave to him when they thought he'd be a completely different senator.
And I don’t think either of them is actually going to run for reelection.

I was saying I think we can survive this but not sure what will be left and how we rebuild..
I think everyone believes we can recover from this but I just don’t know. We had our chance.

The White House ordering DOJ to drop pending prosecutions is a breach of the department’s traditional independence that would be an earthshaking scandal under ordinary circumstances.
To clarify this, Trump commuted the sentences of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers convicted in seditious conspiracy cases. He has pardoned everyone else who was convicted, including those who assaulted the police. And he has ordered DOJ to drop any pending cases.

January 6th 2021 was one of the darkest days in US history. Trump incited an insurrection and tried to overturn an election. People died. Democracy barely survived. They tried to hang the VP. And Trump has now washed pardonded everyone. I feel sick and depressed

4 years ago Tennessee was 3-7 and had to vacate even those 3 wins. Under Heupel we are (albiet losing badly) in the playoffs. We are moving forward and upward but still need the depth and the gravitas to go far. We're not there but I'll take the progress.
