So it seems that World War 3 might start in the next 72 hours, the UK is a basket case and the US is basically a dumpster fire until the much anticipated obituary finally drops and things start really kicking off.

Please stay safe out there.

Just a little thing I would like to point out here: insurance companies are all about risk mitigation. The less risks their clients take, the less money they have to spend.

So a health insurer not encouraging vaccination implies that they weren't plan on supporting you if you got sick anyway.

I think Silksong just crashed the payment processing servers on steam. Had to get my copy off of Humblebundle.

With any luck, the US will be able to stabilize its file system and restore from backup during the midterms next year.

Also, please let me know if he's dead ASAP.

Crossing fingers for you guys!

I think most western countries don’t have a housing crisis at all, they have an asset price crisis 😅 and too many people vote like they’re temporarily disgraced millionaires, rather than to tax wealth hoarders

This looks like it might be worth a look:

Here's a YouTube video explaining what this is:

I like the idea behind it and, honestly, if it works and it allows the internet to keep working despite everything, it would be worth talking about.

I very rarely post a link to someone else's newsletter...as I have my own. This, however...is a MUST see.

Anything that ups the chances of survival for children is a Good Thing in my book, especially when it comes to road safety. I get anxious just thinking about my sons having to cross a busy road to get to school.
One of the most unheralded parts of making streets safer for children is the amount of time it frees up for parents.
A parenting win.

What are the consequences of a fully automated society governed by advanced AI systems?

What will a fully self-contained society that is autonomous, capable of building things, expanding itself and operating without needing human input beyond basic maintenance look like?

There's something particularly disturbing about content warnings, a tool only used by the writers who care the most about preventing readers engaging with something they might find distressing, being used by censors to ban art in the name of safety.

Man, the Big 12 are going to kick themselves for missing out on those 200 Buckaroos in the future.
News: Memphis submitted a formal proposal to the Big 12 earlier this month that included at least $200 in committed sponsorship and financial commitments in an effort to try to join the league, sources told CBS Sports. (Yahoo first reported.) The Big 12 quickly reviewed and turned down the overture.
