Seeing this construction project was mind blowing:

in Copenhagen, multiple apartment buildings are being built INDOORS and on-site, in a single “Site Cover” temporary shelter.

I threw everything in here—the dollar, bonds, the future of the defense umbrella, the insistence on centrality, stablecoin, why centrality is not always strength, the evolution of US & global (r,g ) dynamics, and a shoutout to Steven Solomon. But no dad jokes alas.
“The months since April 2 have clarified the multiple contradictory desires of the Trump administration vis-a-vis its position in the global economic hierarchy.”

BRICS commentary from West has 3 elements
(1) BRICS is anti-west & not pro-anything
(2) De-dollarizing is a fantasy
(3) They cannot unite on any agenda, especially coz India vs China divide

There's a lot more going on we argue here: www.phenomenalworld.org/analysis/bri...

Tim and I have been reading & talking about BRICS over the last few weeks. What is this group of countries really about? Not so much an anti-western or an anti-dollar bloc; these days it’s more a “remaking of the material basis of a new sovereignty, in a new era of globalization.”
“The postwar order rested on three pillars: American hegemony, the fossil-fuel energy system, and an open, multilateral trading order. America has now attacked each pillar at the foundation of its hydrocarbon global order.” —

China's clean power growth is stunning, but in relation to the size of the power market, China is not such a singular success story. 15 countries achieved a larger increase in clean power generation in the past five years than China, when measured as a share of their total power generation in 2019.

This morning’s Chartbook Top Links features Iranian painter, sculptor, translator, printmaker, and director Bahman Mohassess. Known as "the irreverent" artist, Mohasses is said to have destroyed many of his own works, and those that become available at auction are now highly sought after.
