This is the sort of brazen lie you tell when you’re trying to demonstrate your power by showing you can say shit that everyone knows is a lie, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.

Wife: It is interesting that the biggest papers and networks burned decades of hard work by others who built up their brands to bend over immediately for Donald Trump because they thought he would be a successful dictator and 10 months in he's flailing. Those people have the worst business instincts

Both racism and deflation are bad.
Fed Governor Stephen Miran: "Cutting down net migration to 0, potentially even negative because of the deportations that have been occurring, I think is very deflationary."

TV news removes information from your brain.
as someone who was paid to do it for over a decade, i dont know how people can stand to watch cable news for free. it doesnt inform you about anything. they repeat either conventional wisdom or newswire reporting you could scan in 5 minutes. it is a net negative for humanity.

Typical hedging headline from the NYT, aside, there's no other option but to demand the resignation of the President, Speaker Johnson, and all complicit in the coverup of these horrific actions.

This is not the first time Trump has revealed complete ignorance about how insurance works and why it is necessary. It's astounding how many low-information voters believe he must know something since he's rich.

The factional grifters will hate this, but the Mamdani-Spanberger-Sherrill axis actually suggests the outlines of a broad, emerging Dem coalition organized around both anti-Trump *and* affordability politics, not a party bitterly divided against itself.
These big wins will embolden Dems to take on Trump's lawbreaking and show there's a price for GOP enabling of him. Folks hate to hear this, but normal patterns are asserting themselves: Liberalism isn't dead, Rs are likely to lose in 2026, and Trump is really unpopular, not a magical exception.
