“Speaking outside his chateau in France, former Brexit Party and UKIP MEP Coburn answered "no" when a BBC journalist asked him whether he’d ever been paid to give a speech to promote pro-Russian campaigners”

Just FFS investigate the whole dodgy traitorous lot of them.

Do your job

And the next time you have Farage on, please ask him directly:

…what were the motivations behind this?

It really isn't clear how progressive and blue "Labour" can continue to co-exist politically.

These aren't disagreements over tactics and strategy. They have fundamentally different answers to core questions of political economy, society, and citizenship.

The overlap is very slim.

Labour concocts more ugly measures to punish asylum seekers and the right immediately demands worse… howling to leave the ECHR.
This scapegoating of migrants must stop. It is failure - morally and practically.

Just wilful performative cruelty that is entirely out of step with the majority of British people.

How many Labour MPs got into politics in order to vote for stealing jewellery off of people seeking refuge from war and persecution?

Nothing you can do can appease them. The further right you go, the further right they push you.
But this was Farage's plan, so it must be popular.... surely....

Hey Labour

Remember the majority of voters who believe in treating people decently and not stealing from those who've endured months and years of hardship fleeing war and persecution to seek a place of safety?

We're still over here 👋

Illegal immigration isn’t tearing the UK apart.

The far right is tearing the country apart, using immigration as a pretext.

So depressing that any political issue in this country is either about immigration or is blamed on immigration. We need someone with a voice brave enough to call this out for what it is; hysteria, deflection of blame and good old fashioned racism. Shame on any party or person involved.

Every time I hear a politician say that an issue is “dividing” this country they always then come down on the side of the right wing view of it. Just once I’d love to hear someone say “this issue is divisive, which is why I’m making the argument that kindness and compassion is important”

Dear Mahmood/Labour,

Once the strutting fascist, Yaxley Lennon, is taking credit for your policies, you must know you’ve completely lost your way. You need to get your head out of your arse and your account off X.

Aside from the cruelty of this, I’d just like to know why it’s ok to ignore and disappoint liberal/progressive voters.
Why do governments chase Farage and his voters, thinking that will neutralise them. It’s NEVER worked. He’s leading in the polls and his ideas have ruined us. WTF are you doing?
This is as bad as anything proposed by Reform.

Leaving refugees in permanent limbo and unable to build a new life in the UK would be a complete abdication of our humanitarian responsibilities

Farage has a history of misusing public money. He was a close associate of a man guilty of taking bribes from Russia. He has been paid over £500k by Russia Today. He lied about buying a house in Clacton. He then said that his partner bought it. His partner is not in a position to buy that house.
