“Betting on football and elections is becoming as much a part of our lives as watching football and voting. Just think about that. If everything is becoming television, and everything on television is trying to become gambling, then the end point is not hard to see: On every screen, a casino."

Ironic that someone striving to be so smart could be so fundamentally stupid with that house arrangement.
But the NYT LOVES to take stupid excess and call it wow fashion. Must be an NYC thing.

The mess could easily drag on, if he's right. Sounds very plausible.

I don't care how Schumer himself votes. The bottom line is that as Senate Majority Leader, Lyndon Johnson would have last night had on his desk eight sealed mason jars with the severed hands of every senator who even thought about raising them to vote yes. As a majority leader should.

Imagine a world where people choose to spend most of their day on social media, a metaverse of sorts, that is completely populated by AI. It's like they are choosing to hook themselves into the matrix. And many of them think that they'd choose the red pill not the blue one.

The latest example of this, just in, was an email where the name of the supposed writer at the end, when signing the email, is in brackets, to be filled later. 😂
At Bolts, we are sometimes submerged with evidently fake pitches from evidently fake writers, where the email is evidently written entirely by AI.
One email we just got includes the sentence: "This story is locally grounded in [specific county or city]."

Astonishing how hard this administration is working to keep people hungry.
It's clear they are trying maximize public suffering, in hopes of getting people to blame Dems for that suffering. But it's transparently the White House working overtime to keep the suffering going!

Yikes. USDA sent threatening letter to states telling them that if they sent out EBT money —which many states did during the window when a lower court said SNAP funds had to be released—they have to take it back (?)
Trying to sort out what this means and if states even can claw back the funds

Bahahahahaha The New York Times just printed an opinion piece declaring "AI is intelligent, so long as we redefine what intelligence means to include it. And soon AI will be conscious, because we'll just redefine consciousness too!"
