Today feels like a good day to remind everyone that there is literally no empirical evidence that economic growth will just continue if the world heats up to, say, 3°C by 2100.
Continued growth is just *assumed* in every economic model of the relationship between temperatures and growth.

I strongly agree--both because I personally believe that it's the right thing to do and also because the evidence supports it--that rapidly addressing poverty, health inequity, and food/water insecurity should be a first-order priority. Full stop. No argument there. [3/n]

We have ****ed the climate. Dressing this up as temporary overshoot is indefensible. But this does not mean we are doomed, & it certainly doesn't mean there is no point in trying to turn off the fossil fuel spigot. It's time to get real with climate risks.

People have embraced authoritarianism in large part because they've been sold individualistic explanations for social problems. If you think people are poor or unhoused because they've made "bad choices," then you'll see appeal in authoritarian leaders who promise to punish those who are "bad."

For this type of egregious SLAPP (strategic litigation against public participation), imho “Marzulla Law LLC” should be reported to their regulator for further investigation
