I've been kind of quite (at least here) about the UI changes coming to Midnight, and I gotta say after finishing my first mythic+ dungeon on beta servers (+10 Seat of the Triumvirate), I'm left frustrated and a bit defeated. (1/5)

When Destiny 2's Season of the Splicer was being developed, the major social hub (The Last City) had been plunged into an eternal night with weird tech distortions everywhere.
Our placeholders for the distortions were literally floating red bold text that said things like, "Use your Imagination".

In gamedev, if you're using a placeholder asset, best practices involve marking it as placeholder so garishly and offensively clearly PLACEHOLDER that you can't possibly miss it. Also flagging that asset in the dev process so it can be identified quickly before the final build.

A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

I remember the first time I was shown all of these symbols and was deeply worried players wouldn't like them. Crazy to see a blanket made out of all of them.
My Vow of the Disciple blanket!
Took over 400 hours to make, and measures approx 7 ft tall and 8 ft wide. Made using corner to corner crochet. Pixel patterns made by me and my spouse 😊
