My problem with people earning over £125,000 being able to apply for citizenship within 3 years is about fairness. Why should a care worker on minumum wage have to wait for 10 years because they're in a low paid, not a low skilled job.

A simple accurate reply to the report. It appears one man through his own vanity killed thousands.

This is just about the final straw for me, money should not be able to buy privilege, shameful.

I don't understand the Government's changes to IRL and citizenship, what problem are they trying to solve because for the life of me just don't get it.

So SKY feature a poll showing 23% of Labour voters are critical of the PM.

SKY do not feature the fact that 77 % are not critical of the PM.

How reporting of polls works 😵‍💫

However:
- Polls are commissioned to *shape* public opinion, not to *report* on it.
- Public perception of direction Britain is heading is strongly influenced by biased media reporting
- Starmer is the most successful PM in living memory (59 of 86 Election promises delivered/on target)
- See point 2

Who's advising Badenoch, why on earth did she waste most of her 6 questions yapping on about what may or may not be in the budget Starmer just bats her away.

On Nigel Farage's racism, of course it is possible that someone can believe one thing when they're a teenager and something completely different when they're an adult.

But where is the evidence that has happened in this case?

Instead all of the evidence points in the complete opposite direction
Nigel Farage Is a Racist
The media is refusing to state the most bleedingly obvious facts about a man whose entire career has been devoted to pursuing a racist political agenda

A family with two children, one in Nursery and one in Primary are around £8k a year better off with Labour Party policies.
I think Starmer knows exactly what he is doing, lifting children out of poverty.

Labour are stopping reselling of driving test slots:

•Learners will only be able to change test twice per booking
•Tests can only be moved to centres close to original location
•Only learners can book their test, not third-party apps
•Military driving examiners brought in to help clear the backlog

I was thinking about unnamed sources earlier, it struck me how none of them knew anything about the parties held in Downing Street every Friday during lockdown. Pippa Crerar finally broke the story in November 2021, the first lockdown was in March 2020. Funny how they didn't spot the booze ups🤔

Dear @maxwilkinson.bsky.social can you tell me why Lib Dem Peers keep voting against certain parts of the Employment Rights bill, thank you.

Anyone from the @libdems.org.uk want to explain why your Peers keep voting against key elements of the Employment Rights bill?

Employment Rights Bill

It was back in the Lords again yesterday.

And again the Tories and Lib Dems voted to weaken the bill in 5 areas:

1. Weaking rules banning zero-hours contracts

2. Removing day 1 protection from unfair dismissal

3. Disagreement over a definition of seasonal work

There's a lot I dislike about Labour's proposed changes to our immigration system but what Reform and the Tories would do is 100 times worse, doesn't make it ok of course but worth acknowledging.
November 18, 2025 at 9:20 AM
There are some positives in the Government's new proposal, opening up safe routes and access to work and studying but the rest of it seems to me like fixing a problem which doesn't really exist.

The real point is that the people living on the margin have no truck for asylum seekers so they are easily manipulated to thinking that’s the problem, when it’s the greedy billionaires that are to blame. They have no recourse to attack the real issue so they attack what’s possible.

There's a difference between an official comment or statement by an unnamed Government spokesperson and tittle tattle and gossip quoting an unnamed source. Journalists appear to think we're too stupid to understand the difference, we aren't.

Does it seem plausible that THE Trocadero is going to be turned into a Mosque?

It was pretty easy to debunk but I decided to do a deep dive into the reality AND the appalling press coverage
