Of course they do that's not my problem, it's higher earners getting preferential treatment. My OH was a very high earner, don't have a problem with people being well paid

What a horrible attitude.

It's nothing like a Reform proposal, I don't like some of the proposed changes or the tone but it's a million miles away from Reform policy.

Congratulations to you all.

Apparently part of the changes announced, I just hate people's worth being decided on earnings. Of course we need highly skilled people but we need carers and cleaners too, everybody is contributing we discovered that during lockdown.

And I bet they won't change their narrative now the report has been published. I dread to think how GB News is reporting this if they're covering it at all.
November 20, 2025 at 6:47 PM
Me too though Cooper wasn't great either, doubt these policies have just been thought up.
November 20, 2025 at 6:45 PM
My only issue is the higher paid getting preferential treatment, why should a care worker who's barely getting minumum wage have to wait longer than a Doctor. It's about fairness and this just isn't fair. I've no problem with immigration, only the Daily Mail and Farage think it's a big issue.

At least facing a court but can't see it happening.
November 20, 2025 at 6:36 PM
We were chuffed, we got 26 out of 30 in the first three rounds.
November 20, 2025 at 6:35 PM
This screenshot from the article is not misleading, she talks about people on higher salaries skills aren't mentioned.
November 20, 2025 at 6:35 PM
Salaries are mentioned in the article not skills, I don't think people should get preferential treatment because if skills or salary. The cleaner's job is just as vital as the CEO's.
November 20, 2025 at 6:33 PM
I'd forgotten that, you're right, it's scary to think it could have been even worse.
November 20, 2025 at 5:48 PM
Ffs it's not the salary which bothers me it's the fact that if you're a high earner you get preferential treatment. Unlike you I don't judge people's worth on how much money they earn.

We'd have been better of with Thatcher who was a scientist and understood what exponential means.
November 20, 2025 at 5:40 PM
Disagree, we're only 18 months into this Government, a change of personnel won't make any difference to a media who are 99% against a Labour government. The next GE is 4 years away, if a week is a long time in politics 4 years is a lifetime.

A simple accurate reply to the report. It appears one man through his own vanity killed thousands.

About time he was banished to obscurity, starting with cancelling his contract with the Daily Mail.

And we do have that with Starmer, I'm not happy at all about some of the proposed changes in the immigration bill but reading the Covid inquiry summary reminded me how awful it was under the Tories.
November 20, 2025 at 5:07 PM
Yes, despite some of the immigration policies announced (and hopefully ditched before they come before Parliament) reading the summary of the report makes me very glad we have a serious person at the helm now.
November 20, 2025 at 5:05 PM
A damning report and a damning indictment of the failure of Johnson, he was never fit to lead and if there was any justice he'd live the rest of his life in obscurity.
November 20, 2025 at 5:03 PM
Me too, I was never a high earner, my OH was so we have a nice lifestyle but I never earned above the average salary.
November 20, 2025 at 4:57 PM
No longer an MP so not really a big deal IMHO.
November 20, 2025 at 3:30 PM
I have no problem with some of the proposals, I don't think increasing the time to claim IRL or get citizenship is necessary but I absolutely expect it to apply to all, having money should not be allowed to buy privilege.
