Working in games means your answer to the question "If you could do anything you wanted in life, what would it be?" isn't a different career, but the same career in a kinder version of the same industry.

If you aren't seeing skeets from some of your fave people, they might have been labeled "Rude" by bsky mods. Idk what they are thinking, I don't need a mommy to tell me who to be buddies with. Anyway, go into Settings > moderation > bluesky moderation (advanced) and turn Rude off.

Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?

#devtober day 5. Finally got to a point where I'm not just setting up architecture and moving around a grid of dots.

(Sadly, "embedding Lua in my game" isn't particularly screenshottable.)

The commonly cited AI water usage statistics are based on a methodology where, if your data center buys green energy from a hydroelectric dam (as lots do, including the hyperscalers), then “natural evaporation of the water from the lake behind the dam” is counted as that data center’s water use.

i think there might be nothing more corrosive to my wanting to make or facilitate games or art or resources or be involved in anything than when the people with the most need for mutual support tear each other down more viciously than the worst trolls ever bother to

i ain't got antibodies for this
most obvious point in the world: if you're angry at itch that anger should be directed at steam, who have infinite resources instead of, like, no resources

if you liking something just means you hate it ten times as much when it stops serving you who would want to be loved by you
