Hahniidae, or dwarf sheet web spiders, are such silly little creatures. This one is Neoantistea crandalli, check out the eyes perched right on top of the head. It almost looks like a cartoon drawing of a spider with two eyes.

Bird’s Morning Call

I get all kinds of complaints in my backyard—this one voiced by a bird nestled in the grass. I’m not entirely sure of the species, but my best guess is a house sparrow.

It has a mutualistic relationship with Red-billed Buffalo Weaver. The fiscal benefits by snatching insects flushed by the foraging weavers, and the weaver benefits from the fiscal's alarm calls when predators are nearby.
