This Carolina chickadee (Poecile carolinensis) was around a while back, and I’m especially fond of the soft, pastel colors in the background.

In central Illinois we can expect to see Robins just about any time of year, although they're much more secluded in the winters. I sometimes catch them eating from the ornamental crab-apple type of dried fruit trees. Hey, what else can you do when the worms are frozen under the ground? 🙂
