A vast gulf exists between Trump’s authoritarian aspirations and rightwing propaganda about his omnipotence on the one hand - and the realities of a complex modern state and society on the other. And in that space, politics continues, possibilities to resist and push back very much still exist.

Oof, the sycophancy problem in LLM's + triggering on any irrelevant details you feed them, recently led a P2 problem call down the wrong pathing for hours.

The chatbot is never going to TELL you to step back and ask if this entire inquiry is irrelevant to larger goal.

This is your moat. It's mine.

We only know this man is in Gitmo because Noem tweeted a propaganda photo that included him and his sister saw it. He has no criminal record. He entered the US in January and immediately made an appointment with CBP to claim asylum. They sent him to a concentration camp bc of his basketball tattoo.

Neither Trump nor Musk nor anyone in their orbit knows how to run a legitimate business. It's all scams, so they don't understand why "just bribe them" is bad business.

People who run actual businesses understand the value of blaming the lawyers for why you can't do a thing you don't want to do.
This is awful. The Trump administration is making it legal for US firms to bribe foreign governments. (Prohibiting such practices was a benefit to US firms rather than a drag bc they could credibly tell foreign governments they couldn’t bribe, which saved them money!)
By the way, don't ignore the other news of a pause in the FCPA. That's a big one, too.

Why? US firm competitiveness is US security.
