The more people who are denied care and left to die, the more profitable it is for health insurance companies.

Your reminder that for-profit healthcare isn't healthcare.
It's an exploitation of sick people and transfer of wealth from the working class to the mega-rich.

gender-affirming care has regret rates significantly below completely uncontroversial interventions like knee replacement surgery

no study will ever tell you differently

let trans people get the care they need
Republicans in Utah commissioned an investigation into gender-affirming care for trans youth after banning it in 2023.

They're now rejecting the findings of that investigation which showed access to care reduced suicides and improved "positive mental health and psychosocial functioning outcomes."
Utah lawmakers’ own study found gender-affirming care benefits trans youth. Will they lift the treatment ban?
The Utah Legislature's own newly-released study found that gender-affirming care benefits trans youth. Now, will lawmakers lift the treatment ban?

Please highlight this story.

ICE stormed into the wrong house, trashed the place, and made women/girls stand outside in the rain in their underwear. ICE also stole phones, laptops, and cash savings from the family, who moved to OKC two weeks ago.

This elderly man showed up to support an anti-trans bill in my home state and then, because he had to wait hours to testify, he was stuck listening to queer folks rally against it

By the time it was his turn to speak, he'd changed his mind

Never doubt that speaking out can change hearts and minds

I honestly think it would be hilarious if there was one family on White Lotus that was having just the best time, like we get two miserable storylines and then occasionally cut to this family going “We saw three dolphins!”

As a joke took someone’s pen, took photos of torturing it in various ways then sent ransom note asking for 3 cents in unmarked bills.

When principal held out photos and said what do we think that is I said “funny”

When he asked what my parents would say I said “who do you think took the photos?”

Lesson for this Trump tariff shakedown bullshit is that you can call him up and say "well okay, we'll do [list of things we're already doing], that's a really good idea" and he will take that as a win. It's like putting a blanket over a budgie's cage

Reading the article, the group will charge people $5k to run an "AI" spell check on their manuscript, slap some "AI" art on the cover and then shove the book out of the door. It's a vanity press. Who was gullible enough to fund this?
Why? Who is this meant to be good for? Nobody wants your shit AI books, never mind 8,000 in a year. Just a terrible idea and a horrible road the publishing industry is heading down.
