I saw a professor comment on how students have a lower tolerance for frustration, and how it affects their ability to look up new words and get through difficult texts. And it made me think about how much student mental capacity to problem solve in the US has been spent on mass shootings.

Just saw the video of cops tasing one of the kids at the Emory protest. He’s Black, on the ground w/ multiple cops restraining him and they tased him. We should be so much madder about all this. I am so angry we lied and told these kids education and college campuses would protect them.

"calling for the national guard" is just code for "we should shoot the protesters." There's no reason to call for the guard - even if that's your goal the police can handle shooting people just fine. Everyone understands this, especially the people pretending not to
