Zootopia 2 was pretty good. There were MULTIPLE occasions when the sight of expressive CG characters either sneaking around or engaging in a madcap downtown police chase made me think "I should watch Lupin The First again", and one of those times there was a little yellow car zippin around!!

watched "Sisu: Road To Revenge" (having never quite gotten around to the first one). ngl it was mostly the promise of "evil soviet Stephen Lang" that got me in the seat but I was DELIGHTED at the addition of evil soviet Richard Brake

Probably the weirdest piece of lost media I know about. There exists a guide to using word processors by the creator of lupin the third that I have never seen mentioned anywhere. I bet it uses green screen & has super low budget animation on top of how to videos or something. Shame we can't see it.

it's so awesome how many One Hit Wonderland episodes are just "yeah MTV had literally just launched and they desperately needed programming so they'd air ANYTHING"
the first 18 months of mtv must have been absolutely crazy for weirdo 15 year olds at the time. any time of day you press a button and can watch a channel that shows entirely experimental short films vaguely connected to unearthly sounding new wave songs because no one else shot proper videos yet

I hadn’t heard The Highwayman in a long time and I forgot how insane Johnny Cash comes in at the end. You have three legendary country performers singing about being a highwayman, and sailor and a dam builder and then the closest thing country music had to the Voice Of God says “I FLY A STARSHIP…”
