Christopher Mills passed away on October 13. He was the visionary comic writer & publisher of ATOMIC PULP comics, whom I drew the cover of his updated oldie hero, BLACK OWL.
It re-ignited my love of the kind of comics I'd missed. Thanks for showing me that, Christopher.

Dave Cockrum was with no hyperbole whatsoever one of the best character designers to ever work in superhero comics. His sense of style holds up today with many designs like Phoenix, Nightcrawler and Storm being all-time classics.

When Marvel did Spidey Super Stories in the 1970s aimed at young readers they had a special focus on including female heroes and POC heroes as guest stars which led to Tamara getting three appearances in the title, one cover appearance and a brief origin recap which is amazing.
