A few things usually work for me. Writing something new and indulgent, doesn't need to be anything, just a fun idea I'll have. Or I watch my favourite shows/movies while I take some scattered notes to jostle the words free. Last thing is jsut disconnect for a few days and chill/reset.

At the start, Clay's whole life is driven by revenge. He's wondering the west trying to get stronger to avenge his father. He never fully loses that drive, but it shifts. He succeeds in killing the guy, but it was to protect the living instead of avenging the dead.

For my MC, revenge is risky. There's room to doubt risking what they have, but everyone will be freer to heal w/ a dead abuser.

So vengeance/revenge is fairly heavily woven into Sacaask society, which means all the crew are for it to an extent.
It's possibly unsurprising that Sabbat's the most vengeance-motivated of the five of them. It's possibly more surprising that Archer's barely a breath behind him.
